How To Sell on GoCollect

The only items you can sell on GoCollect are those which have already been archived. Also, you can only sell items in collections that have already been established here on GoCollect. If the collection you want to sell within exists then you simply need to locate the item within that collection. If you've searched the archive and have not found your item, you can add the item to that collection's archive.

Once you've located (or created) the archived item you will see a button on the item's page that allows you to sell the item. Simply click that sell link to create your sale listing.

Before you can sell:

1. You need to hold an active GoCollect account.
2. You must be able to ship items from a U.S. shipping address.
3. You need to have a PayPal account.
4. You need to store and verify your PayPal email address.
5. You need to store at least one shipping address.

Our Rules for Selling:

GoCollect Selling Fees

It is free to list items for sale on GoCollect. If your listed item sells you will be charged a sale fee, which is the greater of $0.50 or 1% of the purchase price. The sale fee will be automatically deducted from your purchase price (by PayPal) at the time the purchase is made.

Current GoCollect Shipping & Payment Rules

1. Only U.S. residents can buy and sell items on GoCollect. All shipping addresses must be located within the United States.
2. The seller must pre-determine the shipping carrier, method and insurance details.
3. The seller cannot provide shipping options for the buyer.
4. All transactions will be made using PayPal. Therefore all buyers and sellers will need a PayPal account.

Why are these rules so restrictive?

GoCollect is currently in a Beta phase. During this time we are trying to keep things as simple as possible. As we evolve we will certainly expand options for both buyers and sellers. However, enforcing these restrictions allows us to ensure the highest quality buyers and sellers are performing the most secure and trustworthy transactions possible.
